Yokohama Corporate site

- Tyres and Wheels

One of the first design projects I did after joining Hughes Rae in 1998 was three linked sites for Yokohama. This was the corporate site, the two others being YHPT site, showing details of all their tyres and a site for TSW alloy wheels. I had to use the black white and red of the company colour scheme. I wanted to have something that linked the three sites - YHPT, Yokohama and TSW - and in the end it was flames. On the TSW site and the Yokohama site there are flames coming from the back of racing cars, and here the flames are used as a rim to the tyre/wheel combination in the bottom right corner. There is also a passing visual reference to the Japanese 'rising sun'.

Once inside this site the look becomes quite traditional with a red/gold on black menu on the left side and quite 'print-like' corporate-looking pages, livened up by carefully placed images. The 'Products' pages, which has links to all the sister sites, again refers to the 'rising sun' motif.

From this page you can access not only the contents of the main site, but also go directly to the sister sites for Yokohama Tyres, TSW wheels, Adikt wheels and ATS wheels (below) through the links at the top right.
