Another start-up internet company of the 'dot-com boom, Planetwork planned to offer a service for executives to search for suitable vacancies and, conversely, companies to advertise for executive posts. The site was also to provide a central point of contact and information for both head-hunters and head-huntees at the senior executive level, offering newsfeeds, information and forums where senior executives could network.
These early development concepts were produced for a possible look and feel - one utilising 'computer generated' people (created with an early version of Metacreations' 'Poser' product) and one with a more traditional photographic look. The 'ribbon' was a central design feature in the look of the site, echoing the curve of the Planetwork logo, which had already been created elsewhere. We produced a full wireframe for the site, showing all the different areas of functionality. Sadly, the site never made it to launch.
