There stands a massive desk, with a high-legged chair drawn up to it, and a skeleton in the rotting remains of a once-magnificent gawn sitting in the chair with one hand on the sloping desk-lid. Cautiously you move a little closer, and are able to see that the hand on the desk wears a ring with a large gem."
