The Starship Enterprise

Star Trek

- 'boldly going...'

Star Trek has been a love of mine since the first time the original series was shown in the UK. The original series and the first six movies will always be the true Trek for me, though 'The Next Generation' had many moments of greatness and 'Deep Space Nine' was a worthy attempt at grand space opera. Sadly, 'Voyager' never lived up to the promise of its concept, deteriorating rapidly into a horrendous mess of cliche and weak writing, and the late, unlamented and appallingly feeble 'Enterprise', in my opinion, is barely Trek at all... Still, the original series episodes will always be there. These mainly pen & ink drawings were done for a small Star Trek magazine that some friends and I edited for our local Star Trek group back in the 80s when 'the franchise', as it seems to be known now, was still vibrant and exciting...

Some articles and reviews I wrote for that magazine can be viewed in the Writing section of the site.
