Golden Heroes

- 'up, up and away!'

Golden Heroes was a role-playing game by Games Workshop, set in the comic-book world of superheroes. I was asked to illustrate the section of the rulebook that had to do with 'magic' and decided to make the illustrations look like they had been clipped from the pages of a comic. I was influenced in the style of these illustrations by the incredible pencils and inking of Terry Austin and John Byrne for Marvel in the early eighties and after, especially in the golden age of the 'X-Men' comic books and their later spin-offs 'Alpha Flight' and others...
